"N-n-no. I mean y-es." I was feeling so nervous I began to stutter. In the book, The Dragon's Child, by Laurence Yep, a ten year old boy turns from a nervous wreck into a clever child. Yep Grim Lew was always scolded at for using his left hand and for stuttering. His father decided Yep Grim Lew would go back with him to the "Golden Mountains" where he would help his father work. In order to stay there he would have to past a test where three men would ask him questions about his home, family, school, etc. In the end, he passes the test and is joyful he is going to live with his father in the "Golden Mountains".
This book is something similiar to DRAGON WINGS but it is simple. Since we are reading it right now I got a lot of strong connections with the book.
