In The Devil's Arithmetic by, Jane Yolen, Hannah turns from a bored girl into a fascinated girl. Hannah doesn't know what happened to her family during the Holocaust. She often heard stories from her grandparents who told her to remember.She was tired of remembering. Hannah and her family were having Passover dinner. She opened the door and found herself in a different world with unknown people. In the end Hannah learns about what happened to her family during the Holocaust.
